Deb and Tom hosted the Chili Cook-Off. The turn-out was fantastic with 38 club members in attendance. This event even brought out Bill Bauman as one to sample the 10 different chili dishes that were presented. A sampling of different German beers was also made available for those interested in trying them. After some social time and an opportunity to meet new members Diane and Jim Schoen, and Susan and Craig Marks, the crowd started to taste the chili and vote on their choice for the three different awards. The winner of the Spiciest Chili was Rich Brown with his refrigerator chili. Caryn and Tab took the award for the Most Beans Chili and the Peoples' Choice went to Dan Rosenberger, a guest of the Isleys. It was a very enjoyable evening. Thanks to everyone who came out! |
